If so, then being a tour guide with Amerighost’s Nashville Ghost Tours might be what you are looking for.

What can you expect being a Tour Guide?

Our tour guide’s have flexible hours. It’s a perfect position for people looking for supplemental income. Many of our guide’s are actors, teachers, professional entertainers and talented people looking for a creative outlet that also provides the ability to earn extra income.

Our pay rates are always the most competitive compared to other tour companies across the country ($40-$120 per night), and on top of that the tour guide’s are also able to receive tips.

In Nashville, we have 3 different tours. Our original Haunted Downtown Tour is nightly walking tour about a mile in distance and is approximately 90 minutes. The Haunted Hearse Tour is an all riding tour and each tour is 60 minutes (8:00 and 9:30). The Haunted Tavern Tour is a 21 and up and only tour, and it lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours.

In Washington DC, we have two night time walking tours.

In Louisville and Orlando, we have one night time walking tour.

Ideal candidates should be able to reliably commute into the downtown Nashville area, be able to walk a mile at a comfortable pace, and have some experience in public speaking and customer service.

What if I’ve never been a tour guide?

That’s not a problem! Most of our tour guides have never led tours before joining us. We offer one-on-one training, the script, the ability to shadow a veteran tour guide, and we join you on a rehearsal and help with suggestions and tips prior to your first tour.
